Lauren Smith Lauren began riding at a very young age, and has been hooked ever since. As a young rider she was very involved in the 4-H program, for equitation and western pleasure. Lauren has professional experience with many breeds and disciplines. She has trained and/or shown horses for careers in western pleasure, saddle seat, hunters, and low level eventing. Lauren’s emphasis as an instructor is on producing a well rounded rider. She brings aspects of all disciplines into her lessons, believing a strong foundation and an open mind are what go into an exceptional rider. Lauren has a horse of her own at home, a Belgian x Quarter Horse, whom she trains and shows in her free time. Lauren will be attending Rochester Institute of Technology in Fall of 2008 and competing on their varsity hunt seat team.
