Jessica Ellia is a riding instructor and also head trainer at Mack Hill.
She has professional experience in many breeds including Morgans, Arabians,
and her first love the Quarter Horse. She has both shown as well as
trained horses for competition in saddleseat, reining, horsemanship,
showmanship, hunter under saddle, hunter hack, and western pleasure.
As a youth competitor, Jessica
represented Massachusetts as a participant in the American Quarter
Horse Association’s National Youth Team Tournament. In college,
she was a varsity member of the 1998 reserve National Championship
Intercollegiate Horse Show Association team, Colby-Sawyer College.
Again in 2001, she was a varsity member of the University of Findlay’s
IHSA stock seat team, and they won the title of National Champion.
Jessica has her BS in biology
from the University of Findlay. She is a Massachusetts certified
veterinary technician, Massachusetts licensed riding instructor,
and is also certified by the American Riding Instructor’s Association.
She is a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and is
currently under consideration for the highly respected status of
AQHA Professional Horseman. She and her husband Marc own a small
farm in Ashburnham, Massachusetts.
